Top-modelul german Heidi Klum, care a împlinit 40 de ani în luna iunie, a anunţat că se va retrage de pe podiumul prezentărilor de lenjerie intimă ale casei de modă Victoria's Secret.

"Nu voi mai defila pe podium în lenjerie intimă. Cred că acest lucru nu mă mai face să mă simt în largul meu", a afirmat Heidi Klum într-un interviu acordat publicaţiei Access Hollywood, informează contactmusic.com.

Cu toate acestea, top-modelul, care este imaginea emisiunii-concurs "Germany's Next Top Model", susţine că nu doreşte să îşi dezamăgească fanii şi că va realiza în continuare "pictoriale pentru coperte (ale revistelor, n.r.) şi campanii publicitare".

Heidi Klum, care este mamă a patru copii, a afirmat de asemenea că nu are de gând să apeleze la chirurgia plastică, pentru corectarea ridurilor de expresie.

"Nu am avut nicio operaţie estetică. Mi-a fost mult prea teamă, ca să fiu sinceră. Mi-e teamă că, dintr-odată, te schimbi prea mult, faţa ţi se schimbă, nu ştiu. Mi-ar fi greu să mă uit în oglindă şi să văd un chip cu care nu sunt obişnuită. Mi-ar fi teamă", a spus Heidi Klum.

Heidi Klum, devenită celebră şi pentru participarea la reality show-ul "Project Runaway", a obţinut în perioada mai 2011 - mai 2012 venituri de 20 de milioane de dolari. Ea s-a situat vreme de mai mulţi ani pe primele cinci locuri în topul Forbes al celor mai bine plătite manechine din lume. În 2012, editorii revistei nu au mai luat-o în considerare în realizarea topului, pentru că au fost de părere că Heidi Klum este "mai mult o femeie de afaceri şi o celebritate multimedia decât un model".
